We take the health of our guests seriously, serving healthy meals using good quality food products.

We get fresh produce from a range of partners, but we also rely on people like you to donate tinned food to fill our emergency food parcels.

To make it easy to understand what to give we use a traffic light system. Gifts marked with a green traffic light will be accepted, while those marked with a red traffic light cannot be used.

Green light Gifts

These items marked with a green traffic light will be gratefully received:

  • Canned ham, chicken, spam and braised steak.
  • Canned tuna, salmon and sardines.
  • Canned soups/casseroles.
  • Canned spaghetti.
  • Canned baked beans.
  • Instant noodles.

Red Light Gifts

To comply with food safety regulations we can not use:

  • No cooked food.
  • No raw food.
  • No fresh fruit or vegetables.
  • No bread, pastry or cakes.
  • No pasta, rice, flour or noodles.
  • No high sugar items (e.g. biscuits).
  • No high salt items.
  • No expired/out of date items.
  • No items in glass jars or loose pantry items.

I would like to donate some food and my time, if you could provide information on where i may be able to drop the food for easter appeal that would be great.. I have emailed relating to offering my skills in hopes we could meet and discuss further. unfortunatley I am not able to make the said donation at this time due to my current situation but I am commiting to make a donation in person after I have either raised, saved or earned the $165 as stipulated.. look forward to hearing from you.

      Hello Jane,

Thank you for your offer to help the Exodus Foundation. You can drop off food items at our office here at 63 Norton St, Ashfield. If you have a browse of our Gift in Kind information guide, that will give you a list of the different types of food items we accept and how you can drop them off. The guide is on our Gifts In Kind Page here: https://www.exodusfoundation.org.au/make-a-difference/you-can/. Also, regarding financial donations, you do not need to donate the exact $165, the $165 is simply to show how your money can help our guests. We appreciate any amount that you can give at a time that is suitable for you.

I am wishing to donate a 5kg ham I won in a raffle. The ham came from Ray the Butcher in Milsons Point, is vacuumed packed and has been kept under refrigeration.
Please advise if interested we can deliver.
